§ 32.03 ADVISORY PLAN COMMISSION.
   (A)   Pursuant to I.C. 36-7-4-202 et seq., the existing Advisory Plan Commission is abolished, and a new Advisory Plan Commission is established effective June 1, 2004 under the following statutory guidelines.
      (1)   The City’s Advisory Plan Commission shall consist of seven members as follows.
         (a)   The municipal legislative body (Common Council) shall appoint three persons, who must be elected or appointed municipal officials or employees in the municipal government, as members.
         (b)   The municipal executive (Mayor) shall appoint four citizen members, of whom no more than two may be of the same political party.
      (2)   The Clerk-Treasurer shall certify, in writing, the members and their terms of office for the Advisory Plan Commission members appointed by the Common Council to the Common Council and the Advisory Plan Commission.
      (3)   The Mayor shall certify, in writing, the Mayor’s appointments and terms of office for the Advisory Plan Commission members appointed by the Mayor to the Common Council and the Advisory Plan Commission.
      (4)   The new members of the city’s Advisory Plan Commission shall be appointed to the following Advisory Plan Commission slots designated as member positions one through seven for the initial terms as noted. Thereafter their appointments and terms shall comply with I.C. 36-7-4-218 et seq.
         (a)   Advisory Plan Commission Member number one shall be appointed by the Common Council and the term is pursuant to I.C. 36-7-4-217 and I.C. 36-7-4-218 et seq.
         (b)   Advisory Plan Commission Member number two shall be appointed by the Common Council and the term is pursuant to I.C. 36-7-4-217 and I.C. 36-7-4-218 et seq.
         (c)   Advisory Plan Commission Member number three shall be appointed by the Common Council and the term is pursuant to I.C. 36-7-4-217 and I.C. 36-7-4-218 et seq.
         (d)   Advisory Plan Commission Member number four shall be appointed by the Mayor for an initial term from June 1, 2004 through Monday, January 1, 2007.
         (e)   Advisory Plan Commission Member number five shall be appointed by the Mayor for an initial term from June 1, 2004 through Monday, January 1, 2007.
         (f)   Advisory Plan Commission Member number six shall be appointed by the Mayor for an initial term from June 1, 2004 through Monday, January 7, 2008.
         (g)   Advisory Plan Commission Member number seven shall be appointed by the Mayor for an initial term from June 1, 2004 through Monday, January 7, 2008.
