(A) The following pollutant limits are established to protect against pass through and interference. No person shall discharge wastewater containing in excess of the following concentrations based upon a 24-hour composite sample, except for cyanide and oil and grease, which are grab samples. For all metals listed below, no grab sample shall exceed one and one-half times the limit established for a 24-hour composite sample.
Pollutant | mg/l |
Pollutant | mg/l |
Arsenic | 0.15 |
Cadmium | 0.07 |
Chromium (total) | 1.71 |
Copper | 0.33 |
Cyanide (total) | 0.65 |
Lead | 0.17 |
Nickel | 0.70 |
Oil and grease | 100 |
Silver | 0.24 |
Zinc | 1 |
(B) The above limits apply at the point where the wastewater is discharged to the POTW. All concentrations for metallic substances are for “total” metal unless indicated otherwise. The Superintendent may impose mass limitations in addition to, or in place of, the concentration-based limitations above. The Superintendent may also impose limits on parameters not listed above to protect the POTW.
