Modifications to the text of the international mechanical code, 2009, are as follows:
Section 101.1 Insert city of Charleston for (name of jurisdiction).
Section 106.5.2 Fee Schedule: Fees for all new mechanical construction shall be one dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) per every one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) of estimated construction value, with a minimum of twenty five dollars $25.00. The estimated construction value as described in the building code as found in title 9, chapter 1, section 2 of the city code.
1. Any system or structure requiring plan review by outside plan review sources or inspections by outside or special services: actual cost charged for services.
Section 106.5.3 Fee refunds is deleted without substitution.
Section 108.4 Violation Penalties is hereby deleted and the following substituted in lieu thereof:
Section 108.4 Violation Penalties: Any person who shall violate a provision of this code or fail to comply with any of the requirements thereof, or who shall erect, construct, alter or repair mechanical equipment or in violation of an approved plan or direction of the mechanical inspector, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code shall be guilty of a petty offense, punishable by a fine of no more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00), and no less than fifty dollars ($50.00), at the discretion of the court. Each day that a violation exists shall be deemed a separate offense.
108.5 Stop Work Orders is hereby deleted and the following inserted in lieu thereof:
108.5 Stop Work Orders: Any person who shall continue any work in or about the structure after having been served with a stop work order, except such work as he is directed to perform to remove a violation or unsafe condition shall be liable to a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50.00), nor more than seven hundred fifty dollars ($750.00) at the discretion of the court. Each day that violation continues after due notice has been served in accordance with the terms and conditions hereof shall be deemed a separate offense.
Section 109.1.2 A new section 109.1.2 shall be inserted as follows:
Section 109.1.2 Fee For Appeal: The fee for an appeal shall be one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00).
Chapter 15.
The standard reference and title of ICC EC-03 international electric code shall be deleted and the following inserted into the NFPA section: National Electric Code, 2020, NFPA 70.
Insert new reference section in appendix A IDPH, Illinois Department Of Public Health, Division Of Engineering And Sanitation, 535 West Jefferson Street, Springfield, Illinois 62761.
No standard reference number title to be Illinois state plumbing code, reference and code section number shall be 201.3, 301.8, 512.2, 908.5, 1002.1, 1002.2, 1002.3, 1005.2, 1006.6, 1008.2, 1009.3, 1101.4, 1201.1, 1206.2, 1206.3 & 1401.2.
Appendix B is deleted without substitution.
