8-3-1-2: SEWER TAPPING AND CONNECTION FEES AND CHARGES:
   A.   Responsibility For Taps:
      1.   City Responsibility:
         a.   Upon application, duly executed upon payment in advance, the department shall perform an inspection of the sewer tap prior to the contractor covering said tap.
         b.   All taps shall be made with a saddle and stainless steel clamp device as manufactured by DFW Plastics, Inc., or approved equal.
      2.   Owner Responsibility: Upon application duly executed and upon payment in advance, the owner shall provide all digging and all labor and materials to perform a sewer tap. The owner is further responsible for all cutting, patching, repairing of city property, streets, sidewalks, and backfill. Repaired areas of city streets and sidewalks shall be of sand backfill with six inches (6") of grade.
   B.   Tap Inspection Fee: There shall be a sewer tapping inspection fee of fifty dollars ($50.00) which shall be charged for each tap into the city sewer system.
   C.   Location Of Services Charge: The city shall charge thirty three dollars ($33.00) per hour with a one hour minimum charge for all services rendered by the city in locating sewer lines for owners.
   D.   Cleaning Of Sewer Lines Charge: The city shall charge one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00) per hour, with a minimum of one hour charged, in the event that the city is involved in the removal of grease and other foreign matter in sewer lines. This charge shall be linked to the individual or entity from which said contamination originated. (Ord. 09-O-37, 4-21-2009)
   E.   Sewer Taps Outside Municipal Corporate Limits: No sewer taps shall be permitted outside the Municipal corporate limits unless specifically authorized by a preannexation agreement. (Ord. 12-O-29, 9-18-2012)
