The Council shall consist of four (4) Commissioners elected for staggered terms of four (4) years, as provided by statute. Terms of office of the newly elected Mayor and Commissioners shall commence at the first regular or special meeting to be conducted in the month of May following any general election and shall continue until their successors are elected and qualified. Vacancies occurring on the Council shall be filled by the remaining members as prescribed by statute. (Ord. 84-O-9, 5-8-1984; amd. 2006 Code)
