§ 151.66 ADDITIONAL REGULATIONS.
   (A)   It shall be unlawful for any person to alter, disturb or change any electrical wiring or equipment or to permit any electrical wiring or equipment to be altered, disturbed, or changed unless done in conformity with the requirements of the Village of Channahon adopted codes and ordinances.
   (B)   Where re-work or re-wiring of any building or structure exceeds 50%, all wiring in the entire structure shall be installed per the currently adapted electrical code and ordinance. The 50% value is determined by pre-inspection by the Building Official or the insurance analysis of the damage.
   (C)   All electrical wiring on the load side of the service meter shall be copper. Additional consideration may be given to aluminum service conductor on a case-by-case basis along with a design from an electrical engineer.
   (D)   All branch circuits exposed in basements, crawl spaces, garages, and accessory structures shall be installed in EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing).
   (E)   210.12 Arc-fault circuit-interrupter protection shall read: arc-fault circuit-interrupter protection shall be provided as required in 210.12(A), (B), and (C). The arc-fault circuit interrupter shall be installed in readily accessible location provided the branch circuits are installed with NMC (Non-Metallic Cable). EXCEPTION: when (EMT Electrical Metallic Tubing) is used throughout the entire home, then only the bedrooms shall require arc-fault circuit interrupters installed.
   (F)   All electrical services pipe shall be Rigid Metal Conduit, or Intermediate Metal Conduit.
   (G)   All electrical services shall be installed with a main breaker in the electrical service panel.
   (H)   Meter sockets shall be removed once concealed by an addition or sunroom installation.
   (I)   NEC. 230.70 (A) Location to read: The service disconnecting means shall be installed a maximum of five feet between the point of the service entrance panel and meter socket (10 feet of service conductors max).
   (J)   Sizing of the electrical service for dwellings: All measurements shall betaken from the exterior walls of the dwelling unit.
   (K)   All dwelling units shall have a minimum-sized electrical service of 200 amperes or larger, based on demand load.
   (L)   Dwelling units over 3,500 square feet shall have electrical service rated at least 320 amperes or greater.
   (M)   Exception to (L): Load calculations may be presented to the Village of Channahon Building Department for review. The Chief Building Official will determine the proper size electrical service based on the load calculations submitted. At no time shall the total calculated load exceed 80% of the service size.
   (N)   Delete: IRC E3902.17 AFCI in its entirety.
   (O)   Delete: IRC E3902.18 AFCI for branch circuit extensions or modifications in its entirety.
   (P)   Delete: NEC Article 320 Armored Cable.
   (Q)   Delete: NEC Article 330 Metal-Clad Cable type MC.
   (R)   Delete: NEC Article 338 Service Entrance Cable type SE and USE.
   (S)   Delete: NEC Article 340 Underground Feeder and Branch circuit cable type UF.
   (T)   Delete: NEC Article 352.10A PVC conduit shall be permitted in walls, floors and ceilings.
   (U)   Delete: NEC Article 362 Electrical NonMetallic Tubing Type ENT.
   (V)   Delete: NEC Article 394 Concealed Knob and Tube Wiring.
   (W)   NEC Article 410.16D Storage spaces ten square feet or more shall be illuminated.
   (X)   All branch circuit conductors shall be installed in EMT by the rough inspection.
   (Y)   All electrical components shall be listed and labeled for its particular use.
   (Z)   All habitable rooms shall have at least one lamp installed and all receptacles intended to be used for switched lighting shall be labeled by final inspection.
   (AA)   All garages attached or detached with power are required to be on a dedicated 20 ampere circuit. More circuits may be added.
   (BB)   Every service panel must have the circuits labeled. All service or feeder panels shall be located a minimum of three feet from a sump or ejector pit, sink, and/or laundry sink.
   (CC)   In Commercial and Industrial installation:
      (1)   All breakers for fire alarms and burglar alarms shall be equipped with mechanical lockouts to prevent an accidental turn off of the circuit.
      (2)   Emergency lighting shall be connected to a light circuit, on the lighting phase, or equipment with a transfer gear connected to generator power.
      (3)   Parking facilities having moderate to heavy traffic shall require galvanized steel conduit (IMC), (RMC), or Schedule 80 PVC under the paved areas for all power and lighting installations.
      (4)   All electrical work to be performed by a licensed electrical contractor.
   (DD)   NEC 210.8 (A). Dwelling Unit Exceptions: Provide a single dedicated circuit receptacle non-GFI protected for sump pumps, ejector pumps, power vented water heaters and garage door openers.
   (EE)   All switching devices shall be bonded to the box; mounting screws shall not be considered the bond.

   (GG)   NEC 625.40 Electric vehicle branch circuit
      A.   Provide on future supply conduit of minimum 1 inch EMT and box to an attached garage in any occupancy.
