(A) The village does hereby elect to participate in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, effective January 1, 1989.
(B) The standard for IMRF participation shall be a position normally requiring performance of duty for 1,000 hours per year.

(C) The village does hereby authorize the commencement of a Police Protection Tax Fund and Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund in order to deposit the necessary tax monies into said respective funds as they are earned from the levies on said taxes by the corporate authorities.
(D) The proper officers of the village are hereby authorized to do all things necessary and incidental toward the commencement of said funds.
