(A) There is hereby established a position within the village which shall be known as the Natural Resources and Open Space Trustee who shall be a member of the Board of Trustees. The Natural Resources and Open Space Trustee shall serve as a liaison between the Corporate Authorities and the Village Administrator, and Community Development Director with respect to matters and policies concerning:
(1) The Natural Resources and Open Spaces of the village including, but not limited to matters concerning the use and enjoyment of the various rivers, streams and woodlands, trails and paths; and
(2) Serving as a liaison between the village and the Channahon Park District, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Illinois State Museum, the Forest Preserve District of Will County and other such agencies.
(B) The Natural Resources and Open Space Trustee shall make such reports to the Corporate Authorities as may be necessary to keep them informed on all matters pertaining to that department and shall make records in relation to any such matters as he or she deems proper for action by the Corporate Authorities.
