§ 116.31 NOTICE REGULATING SOLICITING AND PEDDLING.
   (A)   The occupant of any premises shall give notice to the licensee of the determination not to allow any solicitors or peddlers in the following manner: a weatherproof notice, at least three inches by four inches in size, shall be exhibited upon or near the main entrance door to the residence indicating the determination by the occupant, containing the following or similar words:
      "NO SOLICITORS OR
      PEDDLERS ALLOWED"
   (B)   The letters of this notice shall be at least one-third-inch in height. For the purpose of uniformity, the notices shall be provided by the Village Clerk to persons so requesting, at the cost thereof. Such notices so exhibited shall constitute sufficient notice to any solicitor or peddler of the determination of the occupant of the residence of the information contained thereon.
   (C)   It shall be a violation of this chapter for any business entity or person, whether licensed or not, to engage in the activities of peddling or soliciting at any residence displaying the aforesaid notice in conformity with the provisions herein.
