The Village Engineer shall be appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Trustees and shall hold office until his successor is appointed and qualified. He shall advise the Corporate Authorities with respect to professional engineering matters when requested by the Corporate Authorities. He shall make current corrections to the Village Map, Official Comprehensive Plan Map and the Village Zoning Map. He shall render professional engineering advice to the various committees, boards and commissions of the village as required by law or as authorized by the Corporate Authorities. He shall be compensated in such manner as shall be fixed by resolution.
