The following list of criteria is used in determining eligibility for an honorary street name designation:
(A) Whether a site, event, or individual is of known historic or cultural importance to the village;
(B) Whether a person is responsible for an accomplishment of local, regional, national or international significance;
(C) Did the person work tirelessly for the benefit of the less fortunate of the community;
(D) Did the person display exceptional involvement in church, school, service club or other organization which made Channahon a better place;
(E) Is the person an individual with a distinguished career brought to the city or notable humanitarian achievement made while a resident of the village;
(F) Is the site of national, regional, or local geographical interest;
(G) Is there a clear geographical relationship of the street to the area of interest of the nominee;
(H) Is there a clearly defined record of local community or public service made by the nominee.
