The Village Auditor shall be appointed by the Village President with the advice and consent of the Board of Trustees and shall perform the duties as required by law. Upon completion of the annual audit of all village monies, the Auditor shall provide the village with sufficient copies of same and file certified copies with the appropriate state officials. The rate of compensation shall be determined by the Corporate Authorities prior to each annual audit.
