For the purposes of this subchapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
COUNTY ROADS. Any road under the jurisdiction of Will County or Grundy Highway Departments.
GOLF CART. A vehicle specifically designed and intended for the purposes of transporting one or
more persons and their golf clubs or maintenance equipment while engaged in the playing of golf, supervising the playing of golf or maintaining the condition of the grounds on a public or private golf course and having a maximum speed of 20 miles per hour.
STATE ROADS. Any road under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Department of Transportation. STATE ROADS include U.S. Route 6, Interstate 55, and frontage roads.
TOWNSHIP ROADS. Any road under the jurisdiction of a township road district.
UTILITY TASK (SIDE-BY-SIDE) VEHICLE (UTV). A motorized vehicle designed to travel primarily off-highway; 64 inches or less in width; having a manufacturer's dry weight of 2,000 pounds or less; with an engine displacement under 1,200 cubic centimeters; traveling on four or more non-highway tires; designed with a non-straddle seats for two to six passengers inclusive of driver, and a steering wheel for steering control and maneuvering; except equipment such as lawnmowers.
VILLAGE STREETS. Any of the streets within the boundaries of the Village of Channahon except for state and county roads.
