§ 31.60 PERFORMANCE EVALUATIONS.
The Village Administrator shall be evaluated, in writing, at least once a year. The evaluation will be based upon the performance of his duties and shall not reflect personality difference. All criticisms that appear in the written evaluation shall have been discussed with the Village Administrator prior to the evaluation so that he will have had an opportunity to correct any problems. When a criticism is entered into the written evaluation, a complete record will be entered, reflecting the exact nature of the problem and what improvements have been made. The written evaluation will be a summary of the evaluations submitted by the President and the Trustees. It will be signed by the President and the Trustees. The Village Administrator will be presented the written evaluation in closed session and he will examine its contents. At that time he will have an opportunity to state his opinion of the evaluation. He shall be permitted to write on the evaluation his opinion of the evaluation and discuss any section. He will sign and date the evaluation to denote that he has read it and has had an opportunity to enter his written comments. The original evaluation will be placed in a history folder kept in the office of the President. The folder will be accessible to the Village Administrator and Trustees when accompanied by the President. The Village Administrator will receive a personal copy of the evaluation.
