§ 13.5/690-3 DIRECTION OR PRESCRIPTION OF PRACTITIONER.
   This Act shall not apply to any person who commits any act described herein pursuant to the direction or prescription of a practitioner authorized to so direct or prescribe. For purposes of this section, practitioner shall mean any person authorized by law to practice medicine in all its branches in this state, to practice dentistry in this state, to practice veterinary medicine in this state, or to practice chiropody in this state.
