§ 52.048 ACCURACY.
Water meters are determined by this chapter as inaccurate or in need of repair when the variation of or departure from 100% accuracy shall be in excess of 2%. Whenever any meter shall prove to be inaccurate or in need of repair, the Director will cause such meter to be removed, tested and recalibrated and replaced. The charges for these services as indicated will be the responsibility of the village. If, however, the consumer requests that the meter be checked or replaced, and if it is proven that the meter is not inaccurate, or in need of repair, the consumer will be responsible for the cost and expense of the removal and calibration and testing of such meter.
