A. Staggered Terms: The terms of office of the members of the board of park commissioners of the city shall be as follows: one commissioner shall be appointed for a term of one year; two (2) commissioners for a term of two (2) years; and two (2) commissioners for a term of three (3) years.
B. Term Established: At the expiration of the terms of office of the first commissioners appointed hereunder, each park commissioner shall be appointed for a term of three (3) years and until his successor in office has been appointed and qualifies. The terms of the commissioners shall begin on May 1.
C. Filling Vacancies: Any vacancy which may occur through death, resignation, or otherwise, may be filled for the unexpired term in like manner. (1985 Code § 11-103; amd. Ord. 1996-03, 4-9-1996)
