A. Commission Established; Appointment: There is hereby established a park commission for the city. This organization shall be called "board of park commissioners" of the city. Said board shall consist of five (5) persons, to be appointed by the mayor, with the approval of the city council. (1985 Code §§ 11-101, 11-102)
B. Residency: A park board member need not be a resident of the city.
C. Compensation: No compensation for services of the commission shall be allowed to any member thereof.
D. Meetings:
1. The board shall determine the time of its regular meetings.
2. Special meetings of the park commission may be called by the chairman or a majority of the commissioners. (1985 Code § 11-103)
