Nor shall anything herein prohibit the city from contracting with any person, firm, or corporation for the collection or disposal of garbage or other refuse within the city limits and/or such areas as may be then serviced by the city sanitation department.
   B.   Contract Provisions Prevail: Should any provisions of a contract creating and operation of a joint city-county sanitary service or a contract for the collection or disposal of garbage by a person, firm or corporation, other than the city, conflict with the provisions of this chapter, then in that event, the terms of such contract shall supersede and take precedence over the terms of this chapter.
