9-3-3: SEWER CONNECTIONS; FEES; NOTICE:
   A.   Prior Notice Required: The request for the tap shall be made at least twenty four (24) hours prior to the installation of the tap. (1985 Code § 17-306)
   B.   Determination Of Fees:
      1.   The tap fee for the connection to the city sewer system shall be determined by the city manager on an individual request basis. The city manager shall determine the actual cost of necessary supplies and materials, city personnel, and city equipment for the proper installation of tap. There shall be a fee set by the city council by motion or resolution. (1985 Code § 17-305; amd. 2003 Code)
      2.   When applicable, the city manager, at the time of the request for a permit, shall give the applicant an estimate of such expense. The city may require a deposit equal to the estimate prior to the issuing of the permit. (1985 Code § 17-305)
   C.   Outside Sewer District: Owners of property outside the limits of any sewer district, or the owners of property not abutting on any main or submain sanitary sewer, may connect their property with the public or district sewer, under such restrictions and regulations as the city council may prescribe by motion or resolution. For the privilege of so connecting, the owner of each property served by the private sewer shall pay to the city the sum determined by the city manager in the same manner set forth in this chapter, the payment to be made before making the above connection.
