Main lines, and appurtenances thereto, to be dedicated to the city for maintenance shall be approved for size, type and installation methods by the public works department and shall meet minimum DEQ requirements prior to installation. Main lines in streets, alleys, easements or along road rights of way shall be a minimum diameter of six inches (6"). All service lines placed under streets or alleys shall be approved for size and type by the public works department prior to installation. All service lines placed under streets or alleys shall be encased with pipe in a manner approved by the public works department. (5-3-2001)
