A. Interfering With Access To Meters: Interfering with meter reading such as, but not limited to, parking cars over meters to make access difficult, keeping vicious dogs in the vicinity of the meter or tampering with lids, meters or reading devices attached to the meter, is prohibited. If after written warning, the interference continues, the water service will be discontinued. Fees for reestablishing service will be assessed.
B. Water Conservation: The use of water for sprinkling or irrigating lawns, gardens, flowerbeds, plants, trees, shrubs, or for washing porches, steps or walks, or for washing cars, is permissible, except at such time the city declares a shortage of water and imposes mandatory water rationing. Any person using water in violation of the above provisions shall be subject to possible fines and/or having their water turned off and the service discontinued. (5-3-2001)
