9-2-12: SEPARATE SERVICE AND CURB STOP:
   A.   Location: All service pipes or lines shall be located in such manner that the supply for each separate house or premises shall be controlled by a separate stop cock placed between the meter and the main water supply line and accessible within the protective meter can.
   B.   Apartments; Master Meter: Apartments, trailer parks or other multi-family dwelling units and office structures shall have a single master meter.
   C.   Serving Single Property: No property owner or water customer shall be allowed to connect or permit to be connected to any water line or pipe serving any other property or premises not belonging to the customer and used exclusively by the customer. Any property owner or occupant furnishing water through his meter to another property owner or occupant shall immediately be disconnected from the water system without notice. The meter used by such person shall be taken out and not replaced until the connection is disconnected from such separate premises and a meter reset fee paid.
   D.   Meter Relocation: Where water meters must be relocated for the purpose of, but not limited to, accessing the water meter, the public works department will reconnect to the customer service line at the point where the customer service line was disconnected for the relocation. After completion of water meter relocation, the water line from the new water meter location to customer's house or other facility of use, will be the new customer's service line and will be the responsibility of the customer.
