8-4-7: HUNTING, FISHING AND TRAPPING:
   A.   Federal, State And Local Laws: All federal, state and local laws governing hunting or fishing apply on the lakes lands and waters except as these laws may be modified by the city for purposes of regulating fishing and wildlife.
   B.   Trotlines, Juglines, Throwlines, Limblines And Yo-Yos:
      1.   Definitions:
    JUGLINE: A vertical line with hooks suspended from a nonmetallic or nonglass device, drifting free or anchored, left unattended for a means of taking fish.
   LIMBLINE: A line with hooks attached to a limb, branch or other natural object left unattended for the means of taking fish.
   THROWLINE: A line attached at one end and weighted at the other with hooks along its length left unattended for the means of taking fish.
   TROTLINE: A line with hooks placed along its length placed in the water attached at each end and left unattended for a means of taking fish.
   YO-YO: A line with hooks attached to a self-activating retracting device left unattended for the means of taking fish.
      2.   Prohibition: Fishing by trotline, jugline, throwline, limbline or yo-yo is prohibited in all areas of the lakes.
   C.   Fishing Areas: No person shall at any time engage in fishing in any swimming beach waters or in any area of the lakes posted prohibiting fishing.
   D.   Prohibited Area: No fishing shall be permitted within one hundred feet (100') of the intake tower or any water supply conduit, or upon any culture pond now established or which may hereafter be established, by the city.
   E.   Waist Flotation Device: The waist flotation device commonly known as a "belly boat" shall be permitted for use when fishing on the lakes except when the use of such device interferes with the free and proper use of navigable waters or unnecessarily endangers life or limb of the occupant.
   F.   Trapping: No person shall trap animals within any area of the lakes. It shall be unlawful for any person to use any net or trap for fishing in the lakes.
   G.   Hunting: Hunting is limited to deer and duck during specified seasons and only in areas as set from year to year.
   H.   Restricted Fishing In Ski Areas: No fishing will be permitted in designated ski areas during the hours water skiing is permitted as defined in subsection 8-4A-22C of this chapter. Fishing is allowed near the dam or shoreline in ski areas, as long as a boat does not go out further than fifty feet (50') from the dam or shoreline in ski areas, or as prohibited in subsection D of this section.
   I.   Bag Limits: Size and bag limits shall be the same size and bag limit as set forth by state laws and regulations, except as may be modified by the city to manage and encourage trophy bass fishing. Permittees are responsible to know the current slot limits for various species of fish.
   J.   Lures, Baits Restricted: Only artificial lures and live bait, such as worms, minnows or crawfish or fresh bait, such as fresh and unspoiled or untainted shrimp, liver, beef, or other fresh meats which would be fit for human consumption, may be used for fishing bait in the lakes.
