§ 35.002 MARQUEE SIGN POLICY.
   (A)   The Town Council desires to adopt a policy regarding the placement of information on the marquee sign located at the corner of State Road 43 and Walnut Street (hereinafter referred to as “marquee”).
   (B)   Anyone desiring to place information on the marquee shall complete the form attached to the ordinance from which this section is derived as Exhibit A and turn it in to the Town Clerk-Treasurer. Said form must be turned in at least one week prior to the date the information is desired to be displayed on the marquee.
   (C)   The following is the priority of acceptance of requests for information to be displayed on the marquee:
      (1)   Important information regarding the town;
      (2)   Requests by the school and nonprofit entities on a first come, first served basis; and
      (3)   Personal messages (anniversary, birthday, proposals, and the like) on a first come, first served basis.
   (D)   No messages that may be deemed politically or religiously persuasive in nature can be posted on the marquee.
   (E)   The town reserves the right to refuse any requests for placement of messages on the marquee for content the town judges to be potentially illegal, controversial, or offensive.
