A. The village board shall be responsible for all planning activities provided by ordinance and state statute. The building inspector, village attorney, and director of public works shall provide advice and assistance for planning and development activities when specified by ordinance, policy or by direction of the village board.
B. The village board may retain the services of a licensed civil engineer for advice and assistance when the board deems such services are needed with planning, development, and construction activities with the village. (1995 Code § 4.102)
