1-7-8: RETIREMENT:
   A.   All officers and employees who work more than one thousand (1,000) hours annually shall be covered by the Illinois municipal retirement system, effective January 1, 1980.
   B.   Elective officers shall have the option to participate in accordance with article 7 of Illinois pension code. (1995 Code § 1.417)
