A. A single-family dwelling shall be served by a separate water service line. Multi-family structures may be served by a single service line adequate for all living units if all units are under the ownership and control of one person or firm, or cooperative group.
B. All single-family units shall be served by a separate water meter as will all businesses and restaurants. Multi- family structures may be served by one meter if all units are under the ownership or control of one person, firm or cooperative. (1995 Code §§ 6.119, 6.122)
