A. Rabies Inoculation Required:
1. No person shall own, within the village, a dog or cat which has not been inoculated against rabies.
2. No person shall fail to annually vaccinate a dog or cat within thirty (30) days following the previous year's vaccination date.
3. Any dog or cat, whether running at large or otherwise, which is found within the village without a tag showing that such dog or cat has been inoculated against rabies as set forth in this section shall be taken up and impounded as herein provided.
B. Collar Or Harness And Tags Required:
1. Each dog or cat shall be provided by the owner with a suitable collar or harness to which the rabies inoculation tag for that dog or cat shall be securely attached. Both collar or harness and rabies inoculation tag shall be worn by such dog or cat at all times.
2. No person shall, within the village, own a dog or cat unless such dog or cat has a rabies inoculation tag which are worn by said dog or cat as herein provided.
3. Any dog or cat found within the village, whether running at large or otherwise, without a rabies inoculation tag thereon shall be impounded as herein provided. (2012 Code; amd. Ord. 678-2022, 12-19-2022)
