§ 5-313 HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE SIDEWALKS.
   (A)   New residential construction; general.
      (1)   All new residential building projects hereafter constructed shall include the construction of handicapped accessible sidewalks in accordance with specifications promulgated by the Building Official. Construction of such sidewalks shall be completed at the same time or prior to completion of the building project.
      (2)   In all new subdivisions hereafter constructed, sidewalks shall be required along both sides of all streets. All sidewalks shall have a minimum width of four feet and shall be constructed under the supervision of and subject to the approval of the Building Official and/or City Engineer. Such sidewalks shall be located four inches inside the street right-of-way line, or in a different location with the approval of the Building Official. Construction of such sidewalks shall be completed at the same time or prior to completion of the building project.
   (B)   Width and slope. Sidewalks hereafter constructed shall be of the same width as sidewalks immediately adjacent thereto, but of not less than four feet; provided that, if sidewalks adjacent thereto are of different widths, then the Building Official and/or the City Engineer shall determine the width thereof. All sidewalks shall slope towards the curb at a rate of one-fourth inch per foot.
