§ 33.041  FILING CRIMINAL CHARGES FOLLOWING ARREST.
   Officers are required to file charges against arrested persons within a reasonable time following their arrest. Officers who fail to file a criminal charge against persons who they have taken into custody at the earliest possible time will be considered in neglect of duty.
