§ 33.024  COURT APPEARANCE; TESTIMONY IN CIVIL MATTERS.
   (A)   All officers concerned with cases before the court shall make a punctual appearance when so notified to be present in court and shall either be in full uniform or dressed neatly in civilian clothing.
   (B)   Officers making a court appearance shall do the following:
      (1)   Be prepared;
      (2)   Be neat and clean in dress and refrain from the use of tobacco and chewing gum;
      (3)   Stand erect; if sitting, sit erect;
      (4)   Be attentive; and
      (5)   Be truthful, modest, natural, without reservation or fear and without any desire or design to influence the result.
   (C)   Officers shall not testify in civil matters based on facts coming into their possession in an official capacity, unless legally summoned to do so.
   (D)   Violation of this section shall be considered a violation of rules of the Police Department.
