§ 91.04  RUNNING AT LARGE PROHIBITED; IMPOUNDMENT AND DISPOSAL.
   (A)   A person shall not allow, suffer or permit a dog to run at large upon any of the streets, sidewalks, alleys, parks, commons or other public highways or grounds of the town, with or without a rabies tag and license tag or other marking so indicated that the animal is currently inoculated for rabies and duly- licensed by the town.
   (B)   (1)   Any animal found to be running at large, with or without a license tag or rabies tag of the current year required by § 91.03 of this chapter, shall be impounded for a period of not more than five days by the Town Marshal.
      (2)   If, at the expiration of five days, the animal is not called for, it shall be killed in some humane manner by the Town Marshal, or otherwise disposed of.
      (3)   Any person claiming the animal impounded under this chapter shall pay to the person having charge of the enforcement of this chapter the sum of $5 per day for the keep of the animal before the animal is released. It shall be the duty of the person or persons having charge of the enforcement of this chapter to feed the animals during the time they are impounded.
