For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates or requires a different meaning.
CLERK-TREASURER. Any person elected to the position of Clerk-Treasurer of the town.
DOG. Includes any dog, spayed bitch, bitch or any of the male or female “dog” kind.
PERSON. Any resident of the town, any owner, keeper or harborer of any dog within the town, or any owner, keeper or harborer who resides outside the town, but who allows, suffers or permits any dog to run at large within the town.
TOWN MARSHAL. The Town Marshal, any Deputy Marshals or any police officers hired by and employed by the town.
