§ 73.10  REGISTRATION REQUIRED.
   (A)   Before operating any golf cart, the owner of each golf cart is required to register the golf cart under this chapter, annually with the town. The owner must provide the following upon registering the golf cart:
      (1)   Owner’s name, bona fide residence address and mailing address, including the name of the county of the person who owns the golf cart;
      (2)   The name of the manufacturer of the golf cart;
      (3)   The vehicle identification number;
      (4)   The model year of the golf cart;
      (5)   The color of the golf cart; and
      (6)   Any other information reasonably required by the town to determine weather the golf cart may be registered.
   (B)   An annual registration fee of $25 shall be paid to the town which shall be deposited in the General Fund of the town, for each golf cart registered. The town will provide proof of registration by providing a registration plate and/or decal which shall be required to be renewed annually from the date the golf cart is first registered with the town. The registration plate and/or decal shall be displayed on the rear of the golf cart in such a manner as its view is unobstructed while in operation upon a street or highway in the town.
   (C)   Upon initially registering a golf cart, the owner must thereafter register the golf cart under this subchapter on an annual basis, by no later than the expiration of 365 days from the preceding registration of the golf cart.
   (D)   Failure to register a golf cart will subject the owner and/or operator to liability under § 73.99 of this chapter.
