§ 52.04  INTERFERENCE WITH WATERWORKS PROPERTY.
   (A)   All  persons are forbidden to cover up or in any way interfere with any curb box, valve box or hydrant. In the case of any automobile or vehicular accident involving the breaking or disconnection of a fire hydrant, the car owner involved shall pay for the repair of the hydrant.
   (B)   Any owner or user tampering with meters other than an authorized town utility employee will be subject to a penalty of $50, plus the cost of any repairs, plus water and wastewater charges at a three- month average for the period of unauthorized use.
