913.08 DEAD OR DISEASED TREE REMOVAL ON PRIVATE PROPERTY.
   (a)   The Commission shall have the right to cause the removal of any dead or diseased trees on private property within the Village, when such trees constitute a hazard to life and property, or harbor insects or disease, which constitute a potential threat to other trees or individuals within the Village of Centerburg, Ohio.
   (b)   The Village Administrator will notify in writing the owners of such trees. Said owners shall remove such trees at their own expense, within sixty (60) days after the date of service of notice. If the tree is not removed, the Commission shall have the power to direct removal of the trees after the sixty (60) days at the owner's expense and without notice. If property owner fails to reimburse the Village for its costs, the Village may cause a lien to be placed against such property for such costs as well as any costs and attorney's fees incurred in securing the lien.
