(a) All work involving excavation, boring, trenching, digging, the removal or disruption of earth; or concrete or asphalt cutting requires a refundable deposit of two thousand dollars ($2,000).
(b) The deposit shall be refunded only after the scope of work as stated in the approved permit is completed and an inspection has been performed to ensure that all effected areas have been satisfactorily restored.
(c) If the inspection discloses a defect or unsatisfactory work, the inspector shall notify the permittee of the same in writing, and the permittee shall have ten (10) days from the date of notification in which to remedy said defect or unsatisfactory work. If the permittee does not remedy said defect or unsatisfactory work in ten (10) days, permittee shall forfeit the two thousand dollar ($2,000) deposit. The Village shall use such funds to repair said defect or unsatisfactory work.
