(a) All peddlers and solicitors must submit a permit application to the Village Administrator’s office and be approved for such permit prior to engaging in business thereof.
(b) Information on the application will be used to conduct a background check. Unsatisfactory results from said background check may be cause to deny issuance of a permit.
(c) The fee for said application is fifteen dollars ($15.00) and must accompany application submittal.
(d) Upon permit approval, peddlers and solicitors must wear outwardly visible identifiable business credentials on their person. A copy of said approved permit must be carried on person at all times as well as when while conducting said business.
(e) Peddler/Solicitor shall honor all “No Trespassing”, “No Soliciting” and like signage on all properties.
(f) All circular, samples or other materials shall be handed to an occupant of the property or left in a secure place near the entry way.
(g) Persons subject to the provisions of this chapter shall engage in peddling or soliciting:
(1) Only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
(2) Only during weekdays Monday through Friday.
(3) Never on a legal holiday.
(h) No Peddler/Solicitor shall attempt to enter the premises of any resident of the Village.
(i) No Peddler/Solicitor may engage in any business other than that expressly approved for by this permit.
