(a) The Village will pay for the cost of a physical examination for prospective police officers for the Village provided that said police officer candidate remain on the Village police force for at least one year after his/her date of hire by the Village.
(b) In the event a Village police officer leaves the Village police force, voluntarily or involuntarily, within one year of his/her date of hire by the Village, that he/she shall reimburse the Village for the cost of the physical examination that was paid by the Village to meet the hiring requirements of that individual as a police office for the Village.
