A. The penalties in this chapter do not apply to a person younger than twenty one (21) years old who purchases or attempts to purchase tobacco products while under the direct supervision of the City of Cedar Hills or the Utah County Health Department staff for training, education, research, or enforcement purposes.
B. Nothing in this chapter prohibits an underage person from handling tobacco products in the course of lawful employment.
C. It shall be an affirmative defense to a violation of this chapter for a person to have reasonably relied on proof of age as described by State law. (Ord. 02-19-2019A, 2-19-2019)
