The City Fire Department shall hold two meetings each month for the purpose of instructing, and training, the firefighters, and for the purpose of adopting rules, subject to the approval of the City Council, for the proper functioning of the Department. Members attendance shall be regulated by departmental standard operating guidelines. Said meetings shall be held in the evenings of the first, and third, Monday of each month; however, the Fire Chief, and his or her staff, reserve the right to increase, or decrease, the number of meetings, or training sessions, in order to meet certification standards, or needs, of the Department.
