§ 111.08 EXCEPTIONS.
   The following activities shall be exempt from the application of this chapter, but shall otherwise comply with all laws and ordinances:
   (A)   The fund-raising activities of any civic, charitable, benevolent, educational, philanthropic, political, religious, social, fraternal, literary, or cultural organization; provided, that such organization, club, association, or corporation is nonprofit in nature, and is recognized as such under applicable state, and/or federal, laws;
   (B)   The sale, or soliciting, of orders for the sale of fruits, vegetables, or other products of the farm, including meat from domestic animals or livestock, so far as the sale of such commodities is authorized by law;
   (C)   Activities of members of recognized religious groups, if their actions are directly incident to the exercise of the members’ freedom of religious rights under the Constitution of the United States;
   (D)   The activities of persons selling newspapers in accordance with the exercise of their freedom of the press rights under the Constitution of the United States; and
   (E)   The activities of investigation, security, and alarm systems businesses, which are exclusively regulated by the state and the State Police, as provided in A.C. § 17-40-106, as amended, and other such activities exempt from regulation by state, or federal, law.
