§ 71.02 DEFINITIONS.
   For the purpose of this chapter, the following definitions shall apply unless the context clearly indicates, or requires, a different meaning.
   BUS. Every motor vehicle designed for carrying more than ten passengers, and used for the transportation of persons, and every motor vehicle, other than a taxicab, designed, and used, for the transportation of persons for compensation.
   LOCAL AUTHORITIES. All officers of counties, cities, villages, incorporated towns, or townships.
   MOBILE HOME. Every house trailer, or other vehicle, with, or without, wheels, designed for use as living quarters, either permanent or temporary, and at the time of manufacture, capable of being towed, or otherwise transported, or drawn upon a highway.
   MOTOR HOME. A motor vehicle designated to provide temporary living quarters, built onto an integral part of, or permanently attached to, a self-propelled motor vehicle chassis. The vehicle must contain permanently installed, independent life-support systems.
   MOTOR VEHICLE. Every vehicle which is self-propelled, and every vehicle which is propelled by electric power obtained from overhead trolley wires, but not operated upon rails.
   MOTORCYCLE. Every motor vehicle having a saddle for the use of the rider, and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground, excluding a tractor.
   PUBLIC HIGHWAYS. Any highway, county road, state road, public street, avenue, alley, park, parkway, driveway, or any other public road, or public place, in any county, city, village, or incorporated towns.
   PRIVATE PROPERTY. All real property used by the public, or dedicated to public use by permission of the owner(s), and not as a matter of right, for purposes of vehicular travel, or parking.
   SCHOOL BUS. Every motor vehicle owned by a public, or governmental, agency, and operated for the transportation of children to, or from, school, or privately-owned, and operated, for compensation for the transportation of children to, or from, school.
   VEHICLE. Every device in, upon, or by which any person, or property, is, or may be, transported, or drawn, upon a highway, excepting devices moved by human power, or used exclusively upon stationary rails or tracks.
