Effective July 1, 2022, there is herewith adopted, by reference, The National Electrical Code, 2020 Edition, as published by the National Fire Protection Association, adopted as a public record by Resolution No. R2022-03 of the Mayor and Council of the Town of Cave Creek by reference thereto, as fully and completely as if the terms thereof were fully set forth herein, in total, except as modified or changed as follows:
(A) Article 90 “Introduction”.
90.1 Practical safeguarding. Shall be amended as follows:
The purpose of this code is the practical safeguarding of persons and property from hazards arising from the use of electricity. Any and all electrical work for light, heat, power, or any other purposes shall be installed in conformity with the rules and regulations as set forth in this code and that document titled, National Electrical Code, 2020 edition, also known as NFPA 70, and in conformity with the rules, policies, regulations and amendments as set forth by the chief building official. This code is not intended as a design specification or an instruction manual for untrained persons.
(B) Article 210, “Branch Circuits”.
210.8(F) Outdoor outlets. Shall be deleted in its entirety.
