§ 31.080  CHIEF OF POLICE; APPOINTMENT AND REMOVAL; POWERS AND DUTIES; COMPENSATION.
   (A)   Office created. There is hereby created the Office of Chief of Police of the city.

   (B)   Appointment and removal. The Chief of Police may be appointed or removed as provided in KRS 83A.080.

   (C)   Powers and duties. The Chief of Police shall be the supervisor of the Police Department of the city.

   (D)   Compensation. The compensation of the Chief of Police shall be established from time to time by the City Council in the annual budget ordinance of the city or in the ordinance establishing the compensation plan for city officers and employees.
