(A) In general the design of all public and private streets and roads within the jurisdiction of this chapter shall be in accordance with the accepted policies of the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Division of Highways, as described in its publication Subdivision Road Minimum Construction Standards.
(B) Sidewalks. The subdivider shall be required to construct sidewalks on both sides of the streets. Sidewalks shall be constructed to the NCDOT standard for sidewalks.
