No discharge shall contain pollutant concentrations exceeding the following prohibitive limits (maximum for any day based on composite samples). The local government may require payment to cover the costs of handling and treating the pollutants in excess of that enumerated as follows:

0.1 mg/l cadmium
5.0 mg/l copper
20.0 mg/l iron
0.5 mg/l lead
0.01 mg/l mercury
5.0 mg/l nickel
0.5 mg/l hexavalent chromium
5.0 mg/l total chromium
0.1 mg/l selenium
0.1 mg/l silver
5.0 mg/l zinc
10.0 mg/l total of above heavy metals (excluding iron)
1.0 mg/l cyanide
5.0 mg/l phenolic compounds
300 mg/l biochemical oxygen demand
600 mg/l chemical oxygen demand
75 mg/l oil and grease
300 mg/l total suspended solids
50 mg/l total Kjeldahl nitrogen
