§ 52.05 ABBREVIATIONS.
   The following abbreviations shall have the designated meanings:
    BOD   Biochemical oxygen demand.
   C.F.R.   Code of Federal Regulations.
   COD   Chemical oxygen demand.
   CWA   Clean Water Act.
   DEM   The division of environmental management, department of natural resources and community development of the state.
   EPA   The Environmental Protection Agency.
   l   Liter.
   mg   Milligrams.
   mg/l   Milligrams per liter.
   NH3-N   Ammonia nitrogen.
   NPDES   National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System.
   POTW   Publicly owned treatment works.
