§ 32.24 CELLULAR DEVICES IN GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS.
   (A)   In order to facilitate court and county office procedures without interruption, reduce noise levels in the corridors, and reduce any unnecessary intimidation of county employees, the Board of County Commissioners hereby pass this section to regulate the use of cellular telephones/tablets in the County Government Building.
   (B)   Except as set forth below, all cellular telephones/tablets are prohibited within the County Government Building.
      (1)   Cellular telephones/tablets brought into the building shall be secured at the security desk and held until the owner departs the building.
      (2)   Court officers (including attorneys and law enforcement personnel) and county employees are exempt so long as they are in compliance with their individual department cell phone regulations, if applicable.
      (3)   This section in no way prohibits those attending public meetings at the Government Center from possessing their cellular telephone/tablet in the Government Center to utilize their cellular telephone/tablet for the purpose of recording public meetings or for other county business.
